Move Out Cleaning Machesney Park

How to clean it

Windows, sills, and the tracks nobody cleans

Tracks are a signature item. A clean pane above a filthy track tells an inspector exactly how the whole flat was cleaned.

Vacuum the tracks first, then loosen the remaining grit with a damp cotton bud or a toothbrush and wipe out. Clean interior glass last, top to bottom, so drips do not land on finished surfaces.

Vacuum before anything wet

Window tracks hold dry grit, dead insects and paint flakes. Wetting that first turns it into a paste that smears into the corners and takes three times as long.

Corners need a tool

The corners of a track are square and a cloth-covered finger is round. A cotton bud, a toothbrush, or a cloth pushed in with a flathead screwdriver.

Glass last, and in one direction

Do the glass after the tracks so you are not dripping dirty water onto clean panes. Wipe in one consistent direction and finish with a dry microfibre to avoid streaks that show up in daylight.

Sills and the screen

Wipe the sill and check the window screen is present and intact. Missing screens are billed at replacement cost.
