Questions
Move-out cleaning FAQ
- How much does a move-out clean cost?
- Starting at $275 for a one-bedroom apartment. Larger units and heavier build-up cost more. You get a fixed number before anyone shows up.
- Does the unit have to be empty?
- Yes. Move-out cleaning is priced and scheduled for an empty unit. Furniture and boxes still in the space mean we cannot reach the surfaces that get inspected, and the quote will not hold.
- How long does it take?
- Three to five hours for a one-bedroom, up to nine for a larger house. We book the whole window rather than a start time, so you are not waiting on a vague arrival.
- How far ahead should I book?
- End of month is the busiest window by a wide margin, since most leases turn over then. A week of notice is comfortable. Two or three days is usually workable outside the last few days of a month.
- What if my landlord still flags something?
- Send us the inspection note within 48 hours and we come back for whatever was on the list, at no extra cost. That only applies to items covered in the move-out scope, not repairs or damage.
- Do you do carpet shampooing?
- Not as part of a standard move-out clean. Carpets are vacuumed thoroughly, including the edges. If your lease requires professional carpet cleaning specifically, say so when you request a quote and we will tell you honestly whether we handle it or refer it out.
- Can you clean before I move in instead?
- Yes. A move-in clean is the same scope on a unit you are about to occupy, which matters more than people expect when the previous tenant's standard was not high.
- Who actually does the cleaning?
- Suite 5 Cleaning Co, a Rockford-area cleaning company serving a 15-mile radius. This site handles move-out and move-in jobs specifically; their team does the work.
